A wish to enthuse others with my own passion for the collie
can be traced to early contributions to the ‘Yorkshire Collie
Club Handbooks’, more serious efforts dating from the
arrival of my first computer in 1992. When increasing age,
and my decreasing mobility made a curtailment of breeding
activities necessary, I decided to develop this interest
adopting the Collie Tree name and tree device which is
now accepted as my signature.
The lot of the breed periodical editor is not an easy one, and a reputation for being able to string a few hundred words into something of, even momentary, interest will have them begging for contributions. Since the appearance of my first article in the 1993 edition of the ‘International Collie Handbook’ I have supplied material to publications throughout the Collie World.
Often asked; “what are your plans for the future?” I remain committed to supplying items to a variety of breed periodicals, and privately produced publications, similar to ‘Breeding for Colour’ may appear occasionally. Additionally this site is intended to maintain my own interest in the breed, its history and development, as well as exciting your own, for sometime to come.
