My Collie Involvement
he above photograph is of our beautiful ‘Emma’ Acorus Blue Anemone, rather than myself, she being much the prettier. Emma joined our family during March 1975, becoming the catalyst for both Emmsmoor
Collies, and my interest in the breed’s history and development.
My canine interest was always a joint one shared with husband Harry, and confined to the Rough Collie. From the outset we adopted the kennel name Emmsmoor, thereby commemorating both our inspirational collie and our then residence on Saddleworth Moor.
The Collie Tree name evolving from my interest in canine genealogy, the tree devise no more than a personal whim used as a signature, but now recognised throughout the collie world.
